“Core Curriculum…Being the Best: Beyond the Basics”
Dear Fellow MPI Member:
As Education Vice President and Chair of our 2011 – 2012 MPI Tampa Bay Chapter’s Education Committee, I wish to welcome you to an exciting new program: “Core Curriculum…Being the Best: Beyond the Basics”. In the past, we’ve offered monthly luncheon programs as well as our Annual Meetings Academy to assist you in your professional development. This year, we have those same “basics”, but are “kicking it up” to make these sessions more targeted, more interactive, more memorable.
What makes “Core Curriculum…Being the Best: Beyond the Basics” distinctively different?
1. Beyond the Basics: We’re listening to you! Using the 2011 MPI Tampa Bay Chapter Needs Assessment Survey, you, our members have told us that you are interested in learning more about the “Core” initiatives of: Leadership & Career Development Strategic Sales & Marketing Technology Industry Trends
Therefore, all professional development programs will be centered on these initiatives.
2. Beyond the Basics: We’ve found the best of the best! We have reached out to other successful MPI Chapters and the MPI International Headquarters speaker data base to locate the finest speakers in our industry for your edification. Each speaker will offer expertise as well as engaging, interactive programs. Be sure to stay after the luncheon for some one-on-one time with our experts.
3. Beyond the Basics: We want you to grow! You will earn CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for many of the educational programs and have access to a Study Group if you’re looking to earn your CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation. Study Groups will be held prior to the Fall and Spring exams.
4. Beyond the Basics: We’re sending you to the Big Apple! We believe that all education is cumulative and imperative to your professional development! So when you attend ALL monthly programs as well as the entire Meetings Academy, you will be entered into a drawing for a weekend in New York – sponsored by Loews Hotels and JetBlue airlines!
